About Escape HQ

We opened in 2017 with two escape rooms and now have seven games for you to choose from! Our escape rooms are unique to Escape HQ and include a set of duplicate rooms to allow you to race head-to-head in two teams. We have an outdoor game where you race on foot around central Takapuna and enjoy our lovely beachside location. We also now have 5 online games to choose from and you can play these from home with your team members in any location.

We love hosting events at Escape HQ and we are popular for kids parties, team building events, school groups, date nights, hen/stag do’s, school holiday programmes and more!! With our spacious lounge with a projector and seating for 45, a private party room, liquor licence, and catering options we are set up for celebrating and events!! We love hosting you, our amazing customers, and we always look forward to seeing you back to take on our new challenges and welcoming new customers taking on our escape rooms for the first time. The Escape HQ Games Masters team are an amazing group of friendly, fun and talented escape room fans. They are the reason we have had so many happy customers since opening our doors with our first two rooms back in July 2017.

Most of the team are juggling study, working as a Games Master and play (of course) and doing an amazing job of it! They want to make sure you have a great time with us and they take pride in looking after all customers and providing excellent customer service!

Since we opened in July 2017 we have enjoyed supporting local schools and non-profit organisations with their fundraising by donating vouchers for escape room experiences at Escape HQ. Here are just a few of the local schools and organisations that we have had the pleasure of supporting. These organisations do an amazing job supporting the local community!!

We work with some amazing local businesses to bring you our event packages, these businesses provide our customers with catering, chocolates for our date night packages, and much more. We couldn’t do it without them and want to say thanks to all these businesses for their fantastic products and customer service!
